Extra Curricular Activities

Homework Club

Homework club takes place on Tuesday and Thursday for all classes from 2.45p.m to 3.45p.m.

Homework Club allows your child to complete her homework with the support of teachers here in the school. While the children are encouraged to get as much homework done as possible during homework club, it is not always possible to get homework completed. It is very important therefore, that any unfinished homework be completed at home. We suggest that the children in Homework Club start off with the subjects they find most difficult, this way, the teachers are there to assist them in the subjects where they need the most help.

Homework Club Rules

  • It is very important that each child is well behaved and attends regularly. Due to the limited places, any child who is frequently absent without an acceptable explanation or who misbehaves, may be asked to leave Homework Club and her place given to another child.

  • Should you know in advance that your child will not be attending Homework Club, you must make contact with the teacher in charge to let her know that your child will not be attending. (If your child misses Homework Club due to an absence from School, a note upon her return to school will suffice)

  • Should your child need to leave Homework Club before 3.45 p.m., you must make contact with the teacher in charge to give your permission for your child to be released from Homework Club early. If you do not make contact with the school, your child will not be permitted to leave the school until 3.45 p.m.

Choir practice takes place on a Monday from 2.45pm to 3.45pm. Ms. Kilcoyne is the choir teacher. Each year the choir prepares for the Peace Proms Competition which takes place in February.

Our GAA team train at lunchtime. Ms Smyth is in charge of the GAA team. They take part in many competitions throughout the year.
